I originally hail from Kansas City, Missouri. My friends and I only partly joke when we describe Kansas City as "The Most Romantic City in the World." I take pride in this hometown--a place where people greet their neighbors warmly and find beauty in nature and the arts. I am the youngest of a large family, so appreciating others' perspectives and taking joy in family events has become second nature.
I attended Regis University for my undergraduate degree, and I have returned to Regis where I am now in its Master of Arts in Counseling program. I taught high school English, both locally and overseas, for over five years, and I now work in higher education. As a teacher, I always encouraged students to consider common themes that resonate throughout humanity, and I believe this has set the foundation for the heart of a wedding ceremony.
Friends describe me as warm and open to others, and I take joy in making others feel comfortable. I am fairly well-versed in multiple faiths, and I love when people find how to find pride and personal alignment in their culture and faith.
